Well you can't it does not work so you have been offered other options. I do not think anything else can be done

You come accross very aragent.

Yes I have looked at the 2URLs but as I have severe hearing loss I could understand what he was saying

Try this…

https://pureinfotech.com/setup-netwo...ng-windows-10/

Or this.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...1-80f9994725bf

How big are the files you want to move, and how often do you need to do this?

not arrogant frustrated with lack of acknowledgement that you have even looked at the info. The video could be followed step by step without hearing him say anything and the other link was graphical. Anyway networking will solve your data transfer issue I am sorry the cable does not work but without more info on the cable support for that is impossible

That first link is one of the 2 I sent previously

I will read those 2 URLs and I am sure they will help.

The size of the files vary, not very often

No offence intended here . .

Did you buy it on Ebay/Amazon . . . from China?

Just asking 'cos years ago a friend bought some computer bits that wouldn't work at all, and would cost more to return than they were worth.

bear in mind the first link is the same as one I sent that you said did not help so you are relying on Hughs second link with the same info to help you over my obviously unhelpful post

I believe they worked on previous windows versions so at guess would say it is a driver issue

As has previously been suggested, just use a usb memory stick.

There is a possibility the cable is a generic and there is always a chance all the cables use the same generic chipset so perhaps try these drivers https://www.driverscape.com/download...transfer-cable nothing ventured and all that

Plug in, copy files to drive, remove and take to second machine, plug in a copy off the files. done.

I'm sticking to this option as it seems your files are unlikely to be very large and the regularity being not that much.

Being this thread was opened on the 25th, and it is now the 27th, you could have transfered all the files you wanted to by now had any other option been followed through.

Get a USB (thumb)drive. It genuinely sounds like you may be spending too much time on something that simply is not going to give you any value over another option already listed for you. At this point, I don't even think it's actually going to work, so is potentially a complete waste of time.

Yes
