A browser is the software used a search engine is the program used to access the search database . Firefox is a browser, Chrome is a Browser, Google is a search engine, duck duck go is a search engine

A browser needs a search engine to work but each browser has other aspects of it which differs between browsers ie adblocking security and so on. Most if not all browsers lets you choose which search engine you use

So in my case Firefox is the browser and duck duck go is the search engine :dozey: correct? Thanks of a simplified answer. Too many years not having to think about tec I used , company supplied and maintained it for me !!:rolleyes:
