God bless the BBC and the licence fee then ! Some campaign for that to be full of adverts too.

I love Classic FM, but its ruined by adverts.

I'd rather have rubbish ads than rubbish content that the BBC dishes up.

I get annoyed when adverts are interrupted by TV programs :D

Why do you guys even watch TV in this way? Advertisements are time wasting, boring and annoying. We all have VM boxes, allowing us to watch what we want, when we want, free of commercials. And yet….

and of course you're quite happy to pay VM a fair wedge every month for the privilege of delivering those adverts to your home, which you then ignore :D

I pay VM a fair wedge each month so I can watch Nat Geo Wild and ignore the ads (esp. Peleton).

Quote from MHRA: MediFacts is a television advert format used by several pharmaceutical companies in the over-the-counter medicines sector.

Regulation 289 of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 prohibits advertising for a medicine that refers to a recommendation by scientists or healthcare professionals. Where a spokesperson provides scientific information or suggests benefits of a treatment in advertising, companies should take active steps to ensure that viewers are not given the impression by words or context that the speaker is an independent scientist or healthcare professional.
Just in-case anybody was under the impression that "Medifacts" was some kind of independent organisation. Just a marketing tool.

What I meant was that I pay for the content. I am not given the choice of whether to get the commercials as well, which are for the benefit of the commercial TV stations, not Virgin Media.

In the fullness of time, I hope that this can be rectified by way of SVOD. Not long to go now (fingers crossed). Hopefully, all the players owned by the main commercial stations will have an ad-free subscription option soon, and live streaming availability such as the BBC i-Player provides would be useful, too.

My ultimate goal is to subscribe to the terrestrial channel players and other streamers and ditch the TV channels. We are nearly there now.

I'm almost ashamed to say that one does actually catch my attention - a car ad I think - simply because someone had the excellent taste to use 'Aphrodites Child - The Four Horsemen' as the soundtrack :D

I'll never buy the car, don't even know what it is, but I have that song in my head for ages afterwards :D

They are the best few lines of that song tbf

Probably why they're pushing the other ones so hard.

Consuming small children, the smug cow cheerleading in the studio kept that quiet and just like that you're done, it's eaten both the kids and the kitten

So those that pay for the add free version will have to find something else to do when the ITV add free paid for service pauses while the free version shows the adverts half way through the 7.30pm release of Coronation Street. Maybe ITV can fill the intermission with re-runs of the old public information films. I always liked the one with the grim reaper and the kids trying fish the football out of the pond....
