Re: Virgin Media have cut my phone off
Well you try that old tried and tested method of contracting the head boss directly. It has worked in the past. The distant past.

Re: Virgin Media have cut my phone off
Thought I would update people in case anyone is interested.
I never got a call back from the previous post. I've had nothing in writing. One of the VM Community Forums people messaged me, and told me that they were trying to retrieve my number. On chasing him a few days later, I was told it had been recovered and put on to a PAYG plan - although I don't have the sim, I'm not quite clear on if this is being sent to me or what? The old sim is still dead. I queried why it was PAYG, and was told that if I want it to be a contract sim I have to go through a credit check as a new customer - I'm unsure why, given that I'm still paying for a contract SIM as part of my VM Broadband right now. I have asked for a PAC code and if I can get one will take the number elsewhere, I can't trust VM at this point. |
Re: Virgin Media have cut my phone off
You should have requested a PAC code before saying you are going to cancel! Every customer service out there will promise you everything including a call back which never happens. Protection yourself is a lesson learnt!

Re: Virgin Media have cut my phone off
I think you've missed that about 10 days into my 30 day notice, I stopped the cancellation, so it should never have been cancelled, indeed, the broadband was not cancelled.
Lesson learned - VM are an awful company to deal with. |
