I was definitely told the full amount would be taken as if I hadn't cancelled and a refund would be given after 45 days.

The payment date is the date the money leaves your bank. The payment process starts several days earlier with the request sent across to your bank in advance ready to process.
If the payment is due to collect on 05/11 it's likely this will happen either on 30/10 (before your cancellation completes) or 02/11 which may well be too soon after. |
