Seems like Virgin do not want TIVO boxes back now, Upgraded package on Monday, and had a V6 box sent out to replace the 500GB TIVO, note in box said "Please recycle your old kit",
seems a helluva waste as I think TIVO boxes are still being issued.

They are, but mostly as fault swaps to customers that can't have a V6 either because they have no Virgin Fibre or already have 3 V6 boxes.

They're not actively sold to new customers now and even if you manage it, it's significantly more than taking TV, Virgin Fibre and Phone as a bundle.
