Why bother 'pausing', just cancel it. You should decide when to subscribe again, not them.

No good if you are on Oomph or VIP packages, where it’s part of the main package. Or for people on a minimum term or loyalty discount.

Thing is they are presuming it's football you're interested in, it might be cricket. Both sports might not resume at the same time.

Or rugby league - no sport on at present.

BT Sport can be paused now using the same link. Apologies if everyone already knew.

This thought has occurred to me. In the grand scheme of things, I can't see it'll make much difference, but it's a fair point in our football-focused world.

As regards BT Sport, I guess that only applies to those taking it as a chargable add-on. To be fair, BT are showing some decent re-runs of old rugby games at the moment. Of course it's just filler, but it's pretty good filler.

If you are on a package where BT Sports is included, it isn't free you are just paying for it whether you want it or not.

Because if you cancel, you cannot watch these channels in the meantime.

Aside from repeats, there isnt really anything on them to watch though.

Because if it is paused they can remove the discount when they feel fit. If you cancel you control if and when to re-subscribe.

That was our household's thinking.

Agreed, but I'm guessing the "cost" to customers who pay separately for BT is probably a fair bit more than for XL/Full-House customers...

Following the advice/link provided on here I filled in the form to pause Sky Sports and BT Sport and the credit has just appeared in my account - £25 for Sky and £9.25 for BT (I’m currently on the VIP package @£103.50pm).

Thanks for the heads up.

Can you say when you completed the form, please?
It will give an idea on the current delay in the form being processed.
