Yeah I'll look into the Combi boiler and the plumber coming tomorrow is via landlord. :tu:

Update!

So the switch was for the entire central heating. It was tripping because the boiler had a burnt out wire which, even though I had 'turned it off', was earthing and therefore breaking.
