Good, the only disappointment is other major chains had decided not to follow in their foot steps.

Hopefully they will in time....

Lets hope the others cash in.

The reason sainsbury gave made me laugh

She said: "When you go and buy your fireworks, obviously they are not on a shelf anywhere in the store. They tend to be in a glass cabinet that's locked up and a member of staff has to go and unlock that cabinet every single time you want to buy fireworks."
She also said the customer's age has to be checked because it is illegal to sell fireworks to anyone under 18.
Presumably they now plan to stop selling cigerettes as well, for the same reason.

The cigarette section is usually manned all day, next to the lottery and customer service desk. The same cant be said for the cabinet with the fireworks in.

Maybe the best answer is to have a limited time schedule in which fireworks are on sale?

Already the case:-
https://www.gov.uk/fireworks-the-law

You can only buy fireworks (including sparklers) from registered sellers for private use on these dates:

15 October to 10 November
26 to 31 December
3 days before Diwali and Chinese New Year
However they need to limit it to the week before bonfire night imo.

Should only be held at proper displays over a 2 day period... I really get miffed when the ruddy things go on for weeks on end.
