Tbh I agree with them on that one, nobody needs it and they are going to have enough problems to deal. You can hardly trust them to be responsible for providing a stable and working version of a new standard of wifi given their history.

Just AC Wave 2, but that should be fine for 99% of customers for a few years to come, stuff like 4x4 MIMO is probably overkill even more most households (unless you're a student household with 10+ devices in use at once or something).

Can see it being useful for business customers though with a lot of laptops / mobiles connecting

and any decent business would hopefully have the common sense to invest in decent equipment in order to provide a quality of service rather than relying on cheapo free naff equipment provided by VM.
