Why does anybody take these bozos seriously?

If you only have a B&W TV but have VM equipment that records then by the letter of the law you need a colour licence as this covers recording in colour.

If there’s no legal requirement anyone can find on the statute books then under data protection and GDPR it’d probably be illegal for Sky/Virgin to pass details on to be used/processed by a private sector contractor enforcing TVL.

It would only be illegal if those whose data was being passed on were not notified that this would happen.
