Re: Ethernet doesn't have have a valid IP configuration

Avast - I used it with no problems for quite a while (Win 7), but then suddenly encountered lots of crashes and other strange occurrences.

After much messing about I found Avast was the cause, ditched it and now solely use Malwarebytes & Microsoft Security Essentials.

Not saying that is the cause of your errors, but it seems Avast was suddenly incompatible with my software/drivers.

Can I get it for free?

There is possibly a loop hole to get it but not sure how, you really should have taken the free upgrade last year.

Edit

This link may help you to get the free upgrade, but don't leave it too long.

I think something has gone wrong with Avast as others appear to have encountered issues.

Cheers, I nearly installed 10, but in doing a system back up it didn't say use a fresh cleash drive and backed up, but did a clean install, which tooke me ages to get back to close to were I lost stuff.

Then lost the will to carry on with the free upgrade.
