It rather seems to me that you have some bee in your bonnet about VM doing their job properly.
Why should anyone take your word for it, of verify it for themselves, the onus is on you to prove it, not them.

No it's not, if I have been kind enough to take the time and trouble to inform them they can either believe me or make their own enquiries in the same way as every other organisation did.

On this occasion I did take the trouble of sending in the death certificate as I was specifically asked to do so by the family, but with regards to the more recent death they were told as above. If they choose to carry on providing services they are welcome to do so, but won't be able to recover any monies due.

My solicitor has already confirmed that I have done more than I am legally obliged to as it is.
