He and hos loved ones have lived through 2 years of hell and we don't even know who she is. This isn't justice or equality.

We don’t know how involved she was in the conversations between the prosecution and defence. I don’t think she is responsible for the failure of the police to disclose evidence they had in their possession to the defensive.

A "serial liar" who made a series of bogus sexual assault allegations against 15 men has been jailed.
Good....... Makes it harder for REAL victims to get help!!!

She clearly not responsible for what they did, she's responsible for what she did.

Yes it is good but the downside is that it DOES make it harder for real victims.

But this is what she did.

The texts revealed the woman asked Mr Allan for casual sex and fantasised about rough and violent intercourse and even being raped despite telling police she didn't like being intimate with men.
...
A computer disk containing copies of 40,000 messages were taken from the handset, revealing that the woman had continuously pestered the undergraduate for 'casual sex'.
She also told her friends that she enjoyed sex with him and even spoke about her fantasies of having violent sex and being raped by him.
In other words she told outright lies.

Yes, she's responsible for what she did - nobody else.

The really truly inspiring part of this story is that it was the prosecution brief who brought the whole matter into the open and forced a mistrial..Kudos to them for being interested in true justice.

Yes, but the police do not come out well from this. I have lost all faith in them, I'm sad to say. I hope there is a shake up of the police service soon so we can be proud of them again.

Me too. If heads don't roll and change happen following this God only knows what it'll take. It's an utter disgrace and the person responsible walks away from it life untouched as if nothing had happened.

Agreed. I thought after Hillsborough things like this case would not happen but it looks like some forces have not learnt from it.

A man wrongly accused of rape says he will sue the Metropolitan Police over its failure to disclose vital evidence that led to the collapse of the trial.

Liam Allan was charged with 12 counts of rape and sexual assault but his trial collapsed after police were ordered to hand over phone records.

The 22-year-old student said he was "disappointed" he had not yet received an apology.

The Met Police said it was "urgently reviewing the investigation".

The case against Mr Allan at Croydon Crown Court was dropped after three days when the evidence on a computer disk containing 40,000 messages revealed the alleged victim pestered him for "casual sex".

Talking to the Victoria Derbyshire programme, Mr Allan said: "University is meant to be the best years of your life and the last two years have been spent worrying and not concentrating on anything.

"It has completely ripped apart my normal personal life."

Good luck to him. It's about time we had a fair justice system. Meanwhile his accuser moves on with her life untouched by justice...
