He can if they put him in the diplomatic bag.

In bits or whole ?!

Sure they could get him out if they/he really wanted. I'd head to Ireland, then take a slow fishing boat to wherever. Plan would fail of course as I'd be violently sea sick after 2 mins and can't stand the smell of fish....

They could try that too but Ecuador have done a lot for him already I am not sure if they would want to risk expulsion from London over him. Pulling a such to stunt allowing someone to evade the police would be stupid. It's also not meant to be for people so it's not entirely sure the police won't just open it since Ecuador would have already violated the principle.

I wasn't being serious, Damien, although where there's a will, there's a way!

What is the point in sticking him in jail.. we are supposed to be a cash strapped country.

Because he skipped bail. You break the law you get punished.

Are we? I thought we were the 5th, 6th, 7th or 128th (depending on who you listen to) richest country on the planet, we can magic up a billion for the DUP at the drop of a hat, 40 billion to leave the EU and we are so loaded we can afford aircraft carriers and not bother putting any planes on them, now that's showing of and nuclear weapons that we'll never use so I'm sure we can lock up an Aussie for a while till the Americans tell us they're ready for him and we obediently hand him over like good little boys and girls

Said it before, all Assange need do is cut up large chunks of their carpet and glue them to the soles of his shoes, then he can come and go as he pleases and no one can stop him as he's standing on Ecuadorian territory

Just been arrested apparently, hope we give him the bill for the fortune he's cost in policing

What an idiot, he’s already spent as long under self-imposed imprisonment as he would have spent in jail for anything he was accused of. Now he’s going to end up in actual jail for evading arrest, quite apart from anything else.

I hope the Yanks decide to come after him and throw him in a supermax. It would take that sort of institution to contain his ego.

He won't have booked his next trip on Expedia that's for sure

Let's have an extraordinary rendition of "Please Release Me" Julian... go on

Send Australia the bill, he is Australian. Wasn't he worried that the US still has the death penalty, not about prison time.

Just seen footage of him been dragged out, may be carried out. Looks really old looking and has a long beard. Self neglect evident.
