I'd actually have liked that too even though that's not the party where my vote's going.

Seems like the UKIP momentum they had in the last GE has literally just died.

The swivel eyed loon kippers have returned to their natural home. They won't look out of place ;)

Just seen this:

Dianne Abbott has promised us the following four new Bank Holidays if Labour get in, in her blustering ways, she says, the dates are....um, (long pause)... the dates are... ;

30th February
49th May
73rd August
62nd October

But for goodness sake, don't ask me how much it's going to cost....

There's always room for you.... :)

It now looks like Labour's only chance of winning the general election is if Diane Abbott can count the votes. :D (from Politicshome)

In her latest shambolic performance, Mrs Abbott floundered desperately after being asked what the party's net losses were so far in local elections.'At the time of us doing this interview, I think the net losses are about 50,' she said.
The miffed ITV journalist replied: 'They are actually 125 net losses so far.'
But Ms Abbott said: 'Well the last time I looked we had net losses of 100 but obviously this is a moving picture.'
So as far as she knew it was 100, but she still said 50. If at the last time she knew it was 50 and it had changed since then, fair enough, but to lie was ridiculous.

Isn't that what the vast majority of politicians are?

I remember when she used to a regular on the This Week show with Andrew Neil. Every time she was asked a question, and started to panic and lie, her eyes would shut. What a tell! She could never play Poker.... :dunce:

Voters threatened with deselection after failing to support Jeremy Corbyn
Quote:

Supporters of Jeremy Corbyn have blamed the ‘biased mainstream electorate’ for local election losses.

Pledging a three-line whip to bring the voters into line, members of the Momentum group said that the British people had to recognise Corbyn’s huge mandate and stop trying to undermine him by voting for other people.

Internal sources within the Labour Party are understood to be confused why saying “People who don’t like Corbyn should f**k off and join the Tories” should have resulted in them doing precisely that.
:D

Didn't realise that Cornwall was that economically well-off to be anything but dependent on England.
