Drive to a nicer area of town to do your shopping. You may find the supermarkets are less worried about trolley theft and therefore not employing coin locks. Simples. :D

If you go with her, you're in charge of the trolly, so no detours ;)

Not always.Himself takes off for a coffee and a read of the paper..and the price of the weekly shop stays around the same price. If it's not on my list it stays on the shelf.

I have one of these, they only work on the ones without the drawer.

You just push it it release the trolly and pull it back out.

My local Sainsbury's has just fitted a new set of trolley locks and you can't use the normal tokens in them. The old ones it was possible to pull out the token so you could put the trolley in the boundary compound. Now it's an extra 100yds. (Lazy):D

Our local Sainsbury's trolleys don't need tokens...

The local chav estate used to be a roosting point for hordes of wild trolleys which would flock their in large numbers for some reason. Periodically teams of trolley hunters would be sent out to brave the angry natives in order to pursue their quarry...

but now the supermarkets deliver so the chav's don't even have to get out of bed no missing the dna test on Jeremy Kyle and so less trolleys on the street ;)

My M&S trolley token still works at M&S in their M&S trolleys.

It's not the size of the token, it's the fact that the coin slide fully encloses the pound so a token on a keyring won't allow the slide to close and release the trolley.

Some new £1 coins - introduced into circulation last month as the "most secure coin in the world" - may be defective, the Royal Mint has admitted.

Out of shape versions of the coin, considered collectors' items, are appearing on internet auction sites.
