The father-of-four was arrested on suspicion of 'terrorist crimes through murder', Swedish prosecutors said on Saturday. Police have said he is 'likely' to be the driver.
The man, believed to be from Uzbekistan, was wearing a balaclava, with broken glass on his clothes. He reportedly confessed to being involved in the atrocity.

Facts are only that until they're disproved by new facts, as many a convicted criminal cleared on appeal years later will testify. ;)

Stockholm attack: Arrested man was lorry driver, police say

The man, who was arrested in the north of the city, has not been named, but Swedish media say he is from Uzbekistan.

Who said it was implied it was on this forum? as my answer was a answer based on well if you don't agree with a certain group who have different opinions to yours lets name call them.

It's sad that people can't have discussions on a forum about a terrible event without resort to baiting or name-calling.

The word was "sad" not "offended".

It seems the suspect was on a wanted list after being told he was going to be deported after failing in his application for residency. I wonder how many migrants there may be wandering around the EU who're going to be facing the same fate and will wind up becoming radicalised and seeking revenge.

I've been in the city centre a fair bit recently, and even at around midday there are large lorries, vans, etc, delivering to shops all along the PEDESTRIAN areas. And some of the drivers are not happy if you don't get out of their way! Controlled entry and exit, but what's to stop another vehicle being nicked by some nutter and driven the whole length running people over? As just happened in Sweden?

Sadly there's nothing to stop it happening in any number of busy places whether motivated by terrorism or anything else for that matter. I guess we have to be sensible, stay aware and keep our fingers crossed just like we did in the days of the IRA.
