Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
Does the TV Anywhere app run off 3G/4G yet?
|
Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
No not yet for TV Anywhere itself, but I see no reason why it won't happen at some point reasonably soon now that the update app is out for both Android and iOS.
No insider hints in the above by the way, it's purely my own view on where things are going and some replies I've seen in the comments in the Play Store saying it's being looked at. |
Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
Does anyone know if the TellyTablet uses up one of the two device slots for the TV Anywhere app?
If so then it makes the app even less 'Anywhere' if you can only have one other device to take out and about, Not great for a couple let alone a family. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate why it's limited as it will just be open to abuse with password sharing but I much prefer the Amazon prime video model where you can have multiple (possibly unlimited?) devices but only two can be used at the same time. |

Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
Never understood tablets. You only have to prop them up to angle them right and attach a keyboard and maybe a mouse... ;)

Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
I think tablets are supposed to be more portable than laptops.
They have pop-up keyboards so no problem there. A mouse would be good as I have need to use a mapping website that needs one. The general idea is they are smaller than a laptop - so a 14" one doesn't make that much sense. Saying that, if someone were to give me one I wouldn't say no. |
Re: The Telly Tablet - does it make sense?
I have entered a competition for the Telly Tablet. I think it would save the expense of cabling into other rooms to receive TV wherever you are in the house.
However, I wouldn't pay £300 or anything like that for the privilege of having one of these. I think my wife would say that was a step too far!! |
