Any differences will come from the TV itself via picture settings that are specific to the source of the images (internal freeview, HDMI etc). I asked about how upscaling was done by the STB/TV on a technical forum and was told that the STB/TV plays no part in upscaling as this is done completely by the broadcaster and it just reproduces the feed it's given.
When I asked if upscaled material used the same HDD space as true HD material when recording, I was told that it actually uses more!
I have read people say on forums that XYZ box is good at upscaling though :confused: |
