No doubt they're just riling people up.

I think it was the fact he mentioned it was a bombing before it had been officially confirmed..

Well that wasn't the assertion to which I was replying. However, he was right.

If he was wrong then ok, open season, but it was a bomb.............

So what is it, Trump is wrong because he got it right?

Perhaps he already actually knew, he'd likely been briefed before any "official" announcement.

Well a bomb it may have been, still no idea who left it.

Trump jumping up and down stating people need to watch out and be vigilant, could cause inocennt people to end up injured if they of a certain religon or race.

The bomb could still have been planted by a disgruntled City employee or a total loon ball with a grudge against someone.

The fact that IS or ISIS still haven't come forward to say it was them, when the incident in a shopping mall where a number of people were stabbed has already been claimed by IS, says to me that it may not have been IS this time.

I didn't see him jumping. I say again every world leader and security expert says we should vigilant in the current global climate, why is Trump wrong to say it.

It's ok when Obama says it though?

Or is he causing innocent people to be injured?......

It may not be, it may be - we don't know. Some people have been arrested we'll find out.

It was a bomb, it was an act of terror, it does appear to a group not an individual.

What group it was is really irrelevant.

Five suspected explosive devices have been found in a backpack near a train station in New Jersey as the security alert gripping America ratcheted up in the wake of the Manhattan bombing.

One of the devices exploded when a bomb squad robot tried to disarm it near Elizabeth train station, Associated Press reported the local mayor as saying.

Christian Bollwage said that the device exploded shortly after 12:30am on Monday. The FBI was leading the investigation and working to disarm the other four devices.

The whole thing is very weird. They seemed to know very early it was not 'international terrorism' - whatever that limits it to - but we still don't know who did it.

They named someone: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...-phone-reports

Quote:

New York police have named a suspect in the bombing that injured 29 people in Manhattan on Saturday night, as officials backtrack from initial claims that the attack did not have a “foreign” connection.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, a 28-year-old naturalized US citizen born in Afghanistan, was identified by authorities as a suspect on Monday morning.

The investigation “might suggest a foreign connection to the action, which would then obviously raise an issue of the foreign nature of this attack”, New York governor Andrew Cuomo told CNN.

Re: New York explosion

Amad Khan Ramadi, a naturalised American originally from Afghanistan.

Is the main suspect. Others may follow.

Or.........it could just still be a disgruntled council employee.

Well he still could be. ;) Albeit it's unlikely.

Re: New York explosion

The reason the second device failed to detonate was apparently due to two thieves attempting to steal it and unknowingly disarmed it. That's why the bag was removed.

The suspect has been arrested 10 minutes from a police station and barely moved an hours journey from the site.

Its a worrying sign though. If this is what an incompetent terrorist can achieve...
