i think it depends on the nationality of the meat -ie i would expect Hugh to taste like whisky and neeps with subtle hints of deep fried mars bar :)

Being nearly 60, I would recommend I was marinaded for 24/48 hours first, to tenderise the meat... ;););)

It appears the website for Simply Halal, mentioned in the article. Went blank yesterday.

These are appalling conditions that is being seen, and it wouldn't surprise if this happen in all slaughterhouses.
But these animals, should be treated with the upmost care. In the video, the place is littered in blood from the animals.

It has put me of my favourite food - Bacon, and beef. Knowing that, that animal went through such cruelty.

If l went into a restaurant, and found it only sold Halal meat. I would walk straight out.:mad:

You can ask, but in my experience they won't tell you, or downright lie.

Usually with a halal symbol (or some variant) in the window. Some seem worried about writing the word halal on their menus, just obscure symbols.

Pretty sure you can't get halal bacon*... :dozey:

*proper bacon, from a pig, not some ersatz substitute.
