Expect around a 3 dBmV change in power levels between summer and winter, due to temperature.

Yes, that's correct.

In the particular case, I see little difference between 9.9 and 10.1, the latter being one where the technician should fit an attenuator according to the Field Service Guide. An the SH range is cheap kit. So I'm suggesting that to remove that element of doubt an attenuator should be fitted.

That said, I notice that the post-RS errors are zero on the latest shown data.

Btw, it is always a good idea to post the Upstream data at the same time because if it's behaving correctly, that power should be lower than "normal".

Thanks. Well it does appear to be behaving correctly now. The upstream shows completely normal.

Thinking about it, the post-RS registers don't tell you WHEN the climb in numbers occurred. Say it went down for an hour to -10C and power downstream rose even further such that the errors occurred, you'd be tempted to think you have a problem.

In any case I would fit one of the Forward Path Attenuators I always happen to have.

8dB or 6dB would also do the business.

What does that mean "my levels go up & down"? Which levels, exactly? And by what sort of number change?

Re: Getting minus errors

My Downloads were originally on about 5 (without the 6db FPA attached) then shot upto 11 about a month ago... being going up & down slightly ever since!... :)

My upload power has been about 30 for years! :)

The "slightly" is totally normal. By that I mean e.g. 5.5 to 5.6 or 5.7 or 5.4.
