I completely agree I merely used food as an example

I bought a seiko watch whilst on holiday in the UK it was over £600 yet I spent just over £250

One of the nights we went out to dinner I had 10 jumbo (and I mean huge) grilled shrimp and payed 38 Turkish lira for them (just under ten quid)

Petrol approx 80p a litre

We as a society are bent over and shafted for everything possible

Yes, we saw a lot of those watches in Turkish North Cyprus - you might want to check the workings... ;)

No it's genuine brought from a franchised stockist I was very careful !!!!

It's a lot more than that in the more touristy areas (Alanya/Antalya/marmaris ) for example diving assistant instructor was paying 6000 tl per month £1500 ish but yes certain areas are very low paid
