Re: Corbyn Considers Women-Only Train Carriages

Are there not women only waiting rooms at railway stations?

Re: Corbyn Considers Women-Only Train Carriages

Surely women only carriages would be discrimination?

People don't tend to change clothes, shower, bathe or go to the toilet in a train carriage...

I'm not aware of any..

There are "Chinese only" trains due to cultural differences with Europeans (link) , so why not women only? But thinking about it, this might not be necessary, if we arm the train guards (link)

We can always give Corbyn credit for the above fine ideas.

I don't think there are many: here's a few Google throws up:

Quote:

Taunton Train Station Facilities:

Sheltered seating areas and waiting rooms are located on the platforms at Taunton train station
There is a women-only waiting room on platform 5
Quote:

Cambridge Railway Station:

Seating area, 2 waiting rooms, women-only waiting room, meeting point (25 metres from station entrance), trolleys, refreshment facilities, pay phone, post box, tourist information office, ATM machine, shops, customer information system, information kiosk, toilets -including wheelchair accessible toilets, and baby changing facilities available
Not even sure if they are still there but when they were introduced, I can't remember any fuss being made in the media

We do have a unisex open air toilet in London's Soho. I should know as l have used it myself, and it quite amusing when a woman comes along and uses the one next to you.

If this is all they've got against Corbyn (even though its not something he suggested !), then he's home and dry.

Er... I don't think this is the only thing! Have you been reading the newspapers lately? Character assassination now well under way!

Corbyn will commit his own 'assassination' once he gets elected. Good luck to him. :tu:

You're going back a bit there, jodash! It would be politically incorrect nowadays and bring about the full wrath of the feminist brigade.

Poor Corbyn, he really doesn't have a clue and if he is elected as Leader of the Opposition, he will soon find out (the hard way) how credible his arguments were. I wish I could do something to prevent him from walking straight into this impending car crash...it's so cruel really.
