Still find it mind numbing and bizarre that 8000 are going to lose their jobs and the main topic of discussion is if the freaking Griffin is making a come back!

Yet if it was the beloved NH f'n S or teachers, care home workers, steel workers, shop workers or any other worker, everybody would be up in arms at how terrible it all is.

Still, at least the Griffin might get a job.

# hypocrisy - and I don't even use Twitter.

I hope they get a job. there's thousands out there. just hope they don't claim benefits and burden the tax payer.

Ha, touché

At least there's acknowledgement of how much better the UK job market is.

Your endorsement is noted.

The jobs losses are an inevitability making discussion about them futile. Talking about the Griffin is a substitute muse.

It's not as if anything anyone says here actually matters...:)

He was probably referring to their claiming in-work benefits as many of the jobs available pay like ***** and wages wouldn't come close to being enough to cover rents in the areas some of these guys live in.

It's entirely academic though as, apparently, 'natural attrition' will be the source of the losses.

If the job market were actually all that the welfare bill would have dropped on its own. Our employment rate is one of the most misleading numbers in our economy, alongside GDP and inflation, all the three the government trumpet loudest actually.
