Game won't have ironsights. Good move, it wouldn't be battlefront without lasers flying about helplessly everywhere.:D

I assume there'll be a third and first person option. First person option likely similar to Counter Strike. Zoomable weapons being snipers and ones with scopes as such.

I read yesterday that there will only be 12 multiplayer maps included with the game.

That really doesn't sound like a lot at all.

That's more than BF4 and Hardline had. I think it's also more than the Bad Company games and BF3 as well...

Correct but remember the scale of the Battlefield maps included, If Battlefront has the same scale about it then 12 doesn't seem like a small number anymore.

It's more of the missing game modes and general size for me, I think I'll miss Galactic conquest, Space battles and the amount of AI zerg rushing throughout the map pinging lasers aimlessly everywhere.

The latest COD had half that many...

... In fact, historically, I don't remember many games with more than 12 ever.

Quake, Unreal Tournament, Counterstrike, Team Fortress 2, etc. etc. had around that many tops. City Skylines has less too.

Actually you're right. Perhaps I was under the impression it had half as many because only half as many were actually playable and the others were always skipped...

Gear up for your Star Wars themed BF4 adventure :D

Jokes aside, I've come to accept this as a reboot and a game with literally no relation to the original BF series which were absolutely brilliant.

I'll judge this as a something new from Dice.

So the Beta is off and in typical fashion for us PCmasterracer's we're sat waiting for the download to finish. Experience so far 8/10
I've just seen someone playing in third person though :D

I am loving it so far, a few games on Sollust have been great fun. The level detail is just stunning, imperial shuttle and crashed TIE Fighters lying about, bubbling puddles and lava pockets.

Sounds of lasers and thermal detonators going off in surround sound is just awesome. Not Tried Hoth yet for the walker assault game.

Played a few games and very, very impressed so far even if I do completely suck balls at it as I'm not an FPS man.

Played for a couple of hours and i think it's rubbish. It looks and sounds really good but the gameplay is poor.

Really enjoying it, so pleased it'll have 2 player split screen as most games don't!
