Sorry about that Margaret. :( I agree your best bet is to speak to them so that you know exactly how you stand. Paying for standard services with most things in this world seems to come at a high price.

Just an update.
I rang virgin and told them my story and without any bother at all she gave me 1gb of mobile web which is 4 times my allowance.
I have also uninstalled google+ on my phone as I have it on tablet and PC.

Good good, glad you got something sorted. Virgin are generally very helpful, I find they tend to be more helpful if you speak calmly and nicely to them, otherwise they won't budge.
