That's a good thing. We don't have much information about this crime yet, and speculating too much in the meantime won't be helpful. no proof that it was religiously motivated. Police don't think it was.

Don't know why Dawkins got involved.

Because the few that I do know of, I came across by chance and not by an exhaustive search.

There are key elements in cases. Was the victim chosen at random? Eg not an argument getting out of control. Is it an attack by a group on an individual?

Oh this is getting messy.

Still no evidence it was religiously motivated but I'm sure it's whipped Muslims and anti-atheists into a frenzy. Certainly the usual suspects on this side of the Atlantic wasted no time in jumping on the bandwagon to scream 'Islamophobia'.

EDIT: Grief. Reading that Indy article you'd think the man had shouted 'Praise Dawkins' as he fired the weapon.
