This is what my sister said when I asked her what would she do (she works in a solicitors office as a fully qualified Para Legal secretary, and knows her stuff.)

"Rip it up and put it in the bin . A Judge wouldn't even do anything (except laugh). Also it was only an invitation to attend !!"

I wasn't aware that an invitation is a legally enforceable document..
