With it being a few days already do you think it would still be the captain's log or something else further downstream? Might be another underlying problem lurking beneath.

Try putting washing up liquid down the pan over night as it has a wetting agent and may soften the henry the third, if it will reach use a garden hose to blast the offending item if it still persists blast it and flush at the same time !

Re: Unblocking a toilet....

If you think it's still below the waterline than try some caustic soda (aka sodium hydroxide), it will get warm, just don't let it get too hot. Add to the pan, give it a good stir and wait 15/20 mins or so. A good rodgering with a plunger wouldn't do any harm either!

Hope this helps, though I think maybe the help's needed a bit nearer to the source!

Cheers

Grim

Yes some good stuff for sure!

Im not good at unclogging it so when I flush and the water backs up,I take that thing you use to clean inside the bowl (The whisk thing) and I push it up and down fast in the hole and USUALLY it unblocks..... Sometimes It doesnt and then my dad has to do it!!

We have one of those newer disgusting Johns that doesnt have much water in it so when you do a biggie,it can leave a mess on the bowl..... Disgusting!! (I wish we still had the good OLDER toilets with full water)

I've done that before using a rubber glove and a bin liner, surprisingly very easy to not get wet.

Are we still discussing unblocking a toilet?

If it's still blocked more than 7 years later, I think Russ would have a bit more to worry about than us having a giggle!
