Re: Ordered my self-install kit
Well, I think the modem was dying!
Got the Superhub set up, and it's a clean sweep of 0.4 to 0.8dBmV and 37.9 to 39 SNR. In other words, textbook signal levels! PS. Wish they'd put a spare cable in the box, devil of a job getting the cable to it as it wouldn't fit in the shelf where the modem was - why did they have to make it vertical format! |
Re: Ordered my self-install kit
are you talking about the coax or the patch cable? If you need a new/longer patch cable they can be had for literally a few £££. If you are talking about the coax then that is a different kettle of fish and you woud be better of either trying to relocate the shub or reposition it (turn it to another direction for the sake of cable tension and twists even if it does look unsightly)

Re: Ordered my self-install kit
The co-ax - wouldn't need much to make it easier, as it turned out, there was one a few inches longer (odd, it was VM cable with F-types used as a link cable with F-type to UHF adapters) that I swapped, otherwise it would have dragged the SH off the top shelf of the unit (modem was on the bottom) - also taped the cable to the shelf edge to steady it.
