I think Ben has already stated that all Big Bundles are single TiVo only with no second box.

This means that all those with a Collection which has a second box need to factor this in.

I hate two box installs, whoop whoop

Super hub can you collect?

Big bundle would save me 50p per month, and offer faster BB . However it would also cost me £20 for a superhub. Has anyone collected one from a shop. I have one locally ?

I've just had a letter through the post saying it would benefit me to upgrade to the Big Kahuna 30 bundle. I've recently got a better deal to match what I already have so does anyone know what the 30 bit means?

Yours is the second reference to Big Kahuna 30 I've seen today and I, too, am interested in knowing what the 30 means.

Does the letter not give any detailed content of the bundle?

Nope nothing. Thing is I've just got TVXL, BroadbandXL, PhoneXL and kept my existing two Tivos including line rental up front for a very good price. I originally phoned up and wanted to go for the Big Kahulalall but the lady in Scotland told me the computer said no and the Premium package was what was being offered. I'm quite happy with the offer so what could this possibly be? This letter has been posted quite a while after phoning them. Mmmmmm.

Do you not already have a superhub?

It strange that VM say that Big Kahuna is cheap, the XL package that we are on is cheaper.

We contacted CS and wanted to go in for that cheapest bundle going for everything - and they said that they were sorry, as we were already on the cheaper budle, and didn't need to change - £4.00 per month cheaper.

Well, Big Kahuna is £60.99 (plus calls).

Is your current package (not including Sports and Films) less than this?

I got the Big Kahuna 30 letter too.

Given my current deal without sports/movies/HD clocks in at £46 odd (which includes a loyalty discount) I really do not think I'll be any better off thank you...

TV XL, BB L, Tivo, Talk Weekends 30.65
Line rental 15.99
sky sports/movies/hd 41.25

Total 87.89

If they can offer me the same deal for less than 87.89 bring it on. But that hefty bonus will make it impossible, I feel.

Still, nothing ventured. nothing gained - I'll give them a ring when I get time

Someone will be able to confirm for me, or correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you have wireless broadband in excess of 30mb then you'll already have a super hub. And you don't need a super hub 2 to get the current maximum of 152 because the super hub 1 can handle up to 300.

All I'm saying is people signing up for these new bundles should be wary about having to pay*installation costs for upgraded equipment when their current kit will handle their new requirements.

That's an original (pre-Super) Hub. Max speed is 20Mbps, so you would need a replacement.

Re: Are New Bundles cheaper if on VIP?

I cannot get my head round these new bundles, I used to be on a bundle of my own creation until Jan that came to £87 + line rental

The bundle included
Large broadband up to 20mb
XL TV
TiVo 500gb
Sky sports + movies
Premium HD £7 add on
Loyalty bonus

Now the new bundle big daddy I can get all the above and more for £58 + line rental:confused: so saving £29 with a far superior bundle, how do VM do it?

If true how do I upgrade to this new premium bundle as I am half way through a new one year contract on the Family Essential collection?

I think that might be an error on the mobile version of the VM website as the Big Daddy is £95 + LR.

However with the package you mention above, have a look at Big Kahuna with Sky Sports & Movies as that is £78 per month + LR. You'll also have to pay the HD charge so that would be £85 + LR but you'll get 152Mb broadband too for a couple of quid less.

You should be able to change mid-contract but will probably have to start a new 12 month contract.
