Well, given the circumstances it would be a nice thing to do, and secondly, the customer will be well disposed towards Virgin when circumstances change and they are thinking of signing up for services again.

Why would they bend over backwards to help someone leave virgin?

Given the circumstances they would probably get the op a package he can afford so as he doesn't leave VM.
