Because, whether you like Apple or not, Apple do generally build damn good routers, and often introduce new features slightly before any other manufacturer. They also tend to do things like use standard power cables instead of requiring a specific power brick.

my bad, i got my nickers in a twist, I meant airport express. Unless it does something special for apple products, I couldn't understand why anyone would want a router with only 1 or 2 ports on it and with it being Apple I bet it still cost a fair bit as well.

It's easy to sneer at Apple. Indeed, for the same reason you're posting on this, I won't buy any Apple computing products. Their OS is way superior to Windows - my instinct ought to be to go for that. But, their application range is exotic and over-priced and what I need to do on a PC usually isn't available in MAC software (e.g. Visio). I certainly don't need to pay over the odds for their Virtual Windows when I can competitively buy the real thing.

But I do like their networking kit.
