As regards the operating system I'm sure the more tech savvy people on here will be able to advise you on that. Me as long as it does what I want and for a competitive price that's good enough. One thing on my NEXUS 7 I had to use Dolphin browser or Firefix for Android as NEXUS have stopped supporting Flash. It's not an issue as there's plenty of information on the net how to get around that.

It's Google themselves that stopped flash support for android.

I thought it was Adobe who have refused to update flash support for android.

Well even using alternate browsers doesn't help if a site is using the more up to date version of Flash as that won't work in FF either.

Mine works and I installed flash after checking how to do it. Works in Dolphin won't work in Chrome

Cheers for all the help guys. Looks like a Nexus it is then. H.I.D likes the look of it too.

I think although Adobe stopped supporting mobile flash it was Google that withdrew flash support in the OS.

Not that I miss it at all anymore.

Adobe stopped supporting flash on android a year or two ago and Google stopped it being used in the android browser not long after, which is why some used Dolphin, Maxthon or other browsers as a workaround. Now Google have tried blocking it at the android OS level, rather than the browser, since Kitkat/android 4.4
