Probably not and probably never will happen. I have to agree with Tiz. If Muslim children had something similar forced upon them there'd be a bigger scene than this.

The issue is the stupidity of the head. A phone call or chat with the parents should have sufficed, not a threatening and defamatory letter.

There's no reason why it shouldn't.

There's nothing wrong with the trip, the only issue was the threatening letter.

I know.
but I'd be interested whether it's still going ahead, and whether out of disgust the parents are not sending their children now *because* of the racial threat.

The trip doesn't serve the purpose it is meant to. It is meant to teach about religion. How does taking a day out to look at artefacts do that?

I don't know, I haven't been on the trip therefore I can't comment on its content or whether it fulfils its ambitions.

But either way I wouldn't have an issue with my child going on the trip. Although I do think the £5 bit is a bit excessive.

So if parents didn't want to pay that, I could understand them not wanting their kids to go on that basis.
