Re: Remembrance Sunday
I think it is a disgrace that there was no minutes silence from the team, the display from Ibrox Park was amazing and made me feel proud to come from Glasgow and I am not really a football fan.

Re: Remembrance Sunday
Each year on Rembrance Sunday, l alway think of when l was a special constable for 16 years. I always put in for the Remembrance March, as this was my way of saying 'thanks to my mum and Dad' who served in the forces. And to remember them.
I always did several where l am in Twickenham, the biggest one that l was invilved in was in Teddington where it was massive and we were known by all the veterans. Even though it was pouring down with rain we stood in silence. My biggest memory was when l was chosen to walk in Whitehall - l was so proud that l was walking with them past thousands of people - l has several tears in my eyes on that day, that l will never forget. My saddest thing was was yesterday in Hounslow, was when people did not stop walking, even for two minutes. Those who gave there lives for our freedom should never be forgotten. |
