Do you honestly think Sky are targeting VM customers ? I certainly don't , the product is geared up for those with Freeview who don't want 12-18 month contracts. Sky Atlantic isn't the only content available on Now TV , with options for movies , entertainment , the ability to purchase a cheap streaming device for under a tenner with catchup facilities and Sky Store soon to be added the all round package is a decent proposition for those wanting to dip their toes into pay tv it's never going to satisfy your premium pay tv subscribers nor is it meant to.

Exactly.

I also think it's overrated I was with sky for 3 years before I moved back to vm in June , never watched Atlantic at all.

I would be the first to admit that there are not many programmes on SA that I would watch. However, over time there are some good American dramas on there, and I am angry that I don't have access to them.

The only programme we are watching on Sky 1 at the moment is 'Revolution'. Nothing else on Sky 1 or 2 that appeals to me at the moment. Similarly, Sky Atlantic will only have the odd programme in any week that I would be interested in.

Yeah I'm loving revolution at the moment and your correct that it's the only thing worth watching on sky 1, I quite fancy the look of newsroom to be honest.

It's targeting people who may want some pay tv ie TopTv customers on Freeview.
It's also a good way to put something extra on your secondary tv's at minimal cost.

Its the future of TV. When they standardize smart TVs to all have the same operating system for apps, then all premium TV will be delivered via broadband on TV apps..

So Sky are just preparing for the day set set top boxes will be obsolete.

thats sounds like it will be more expensive (for customers) to me.

Now tv is a clever bit of business by Sky- i am sure it will attract some subscribers.Gives people choice i suppose.

I have had the Now Tv app on my Roku for some time- i have not subscribed to it and i am not intending to. Niall did a useful report on his blog- seems not all shows on SA are available. Add to that the lack of content on its On Demand box sets- thats a big disappointment. Whats the point of joining series 3 of Game of Thrones for example if you dont have access to the previous series on demand ?

its a no from me

True Detective (HBO) starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey is coming to Atlantic in early 2014 , certainly worth a look especially if your Autumn prediction comes true.

I'm sure that VM would not agree to carry Sky Bravo without it!

5 quid for a single channel, no thanks, i have the NOWTV box myself, but i just use it for Plex, I was going to use it for the sky sports until i seen that price was per day, it's a rip off.

Who votes on sending this poll to Sky? It will kind of prove how little the channel is worth!

Now TV is not aimed at VM users. I'm sure they already anticipated what the results of this poll would be.

No but its a good place to target? A group of people who want access to the content on the channel.

I think it also proves people are not likely to leave VM to get Sky Atlantic.
