Re: Babylon 5 - back on TV at last! From start to finish on Watch

(of course, part of what I remembered was how some of the early season 1 episodes weren't very good, but don't let them put you off! ;) )

It was brilliant watching it again :) The last time I'd done it was maybe six or seven years ago, which itself was the first time since it was broadcast.

I only ever watched it as it was broadcast. Never had the chance to see reruns before now. I can't remember ever thinking it wasn't brilliant, I guess I was easily satisfied. :D

Knock out show - I want to see more sci-fi on the box new and the classics. Back in the 1970s which may seem a bit corny now-a-days there was The Invaders, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space. I still think the film which really started me off in sci-fi was the film The Forbidden Planet which was way ahead of its time.

It's going to be stripped across the 5pm weekday slot, starting on Monday 4th November.

While the special effects are showing their age now, it's still an amazing series, and well worth watching or re-watching.

Season 1 was a little ropey to start with, but the show soon grew to become a classic piece of TV SF.

Yep good to see it back on tv ,i must admit though i have every episode on my hard drive downloaded via torrent .

I met Clauidia Christian at a Cult TV convention some years ago.

Here's the thing: everyone generally looks taller on TV, and Lieutenant Commander Susan Ivanova was never less than imposing. But Claudia really is like that in person. Charming as can be, but you come away with the impression that she's not someone to mess with. She's impressive. We shook hands, and lemme tell you, she has a hell of a grip!

I asked her about the Playboy spread she did, bearing in mind how Denise Crosby was treated, and she said she did that after leaving Babylon 5. She then quipped, "Hey, I was broke, what do you want from me?" Everyone at the table broke up.

I never got into Babylon 5 at first, but now it's being shown from the beginning I'm watching it, courtesy of Dad and his Sky HD box.

It looks like we will be getting a Babylon 5 movie in a couple of years time.
