I'd love to see the charges as a result of that. No locus, date of offence, time of offence, speed, vehicle registration and what the limit was in force at the time.

I'm not sure but I think the courts might just have a hard time making a case stick. :dunce:

M56 was clear on the way home, i requested permission to low fly which was granted and i proceeded home at a good rate of knots ;)

Re: Do you ever knowingly break the speed limit

It depends in some instances if I'm driving a car or riding a motorbike. One particular dual carriageway road where there are sometimes mobile cameras, I stick to the limit in a car. On the same road on my motorbike I break the limit in the outside lane to keep pace with the flow of traffic because it's safer to do so than being cut up by those joining on the slip road or cut up by those swerving from the outside to the nearside at the last minute for the slip-road.

I risk a fine and 3 points on the motorbike speeding, but I would rather take that risk than the much greater risk of being seriously injured or killed sticking to the limit in the nearside lane.
