Re: R38 ain't so good
Getting back to the issues I had last month with R38.
The TBB graph remained "normal" for a week then started to get a lot of latency, reboot modem it goes away and starts to creep back again after a few days. here are some graphs over the last few days! On the first graph we had a power outage so in effect it was reset Friday. Would love to get to the bottom of this. 28/06 Your Shared Graph http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...28-06-2013.png 29/06 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...29-06-2013.png 30/06 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...30-06-2013.png 01/07 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...01-07-2013.png 02/07 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...02-07-2013.png |
Re: R38 ain't so good
Looking to revive this thread to see if I can get a bit further than I did on VM's forums (although I did forget all about it for a while cause I suffer from old aged forgetfulness :p:)
This is my live graph http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...46ff54a82.html Never had an issue on R37, only became apparent on R38. Should I push for SHUB2? Don't have an option to connect in modem mode be it with a router or direct to PC/Laptop. I rebooted the modem on 7/10/13 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...07-10-2013.png Then on 8/10 it was like this, as you can see its starting to creep up... http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...08-10-2013.png 9/10 it was its usual self.... http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...09-10-2013.png Now 13/10 - 14/10 its solid latency all the way http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...14-10-2013.png As you can appreciate gaming is impossible, speed tests come back like this Milton Keynes https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/10/20.png From VM's own servers just down the road to me https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/10/21.png And from Sheffield https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/10/22.png Now there is a surprise Considering its 2am congestion should be minimal especially to Nottingham. Idea's, thoughts and suggestions welcome :D I'm going to reboot modem, test same servers for speed and see if owt changes. |
Re: R38 ain't so good

Re: R38 ain't so good
And this is how it is now.
https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/10/17.png :confused::shocked: Go figure! Nothing changed apart from IP after I switched it off for 10 minutes or so while I move position of the box. First IP change in months (at least 6) |
Re: R38 ain't so good
If you have a new IP you need to setup a new graph for the new IP, if thats not the problem it looks like your router isn't allowing ping from the WAN.

Re: R38 ain't so good
Yup set up new graph no other settings have been changed.

Re: R38 ain't so good
Check again, your router is not responding to pings. Either that or you have no connection at all.
