That said I have edited my Windows Host's file as below, and I have no problems with YouTube buffering any longer.

I get different results different times of the day

Obviously a VM customer infiltrating the Sky section! :D

You need to run notepad as administrator (right click on notepad and choose run as admin) and then open the hosts file, edit it and save it + reboot. hosts file is usually in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

only on 5mb but not getting any buffering issues.

The issues only lasted for a week, as i mentioned above the fix date was 10 days ago
