I watch *loads* of US TV, absolutely loads... established series, series returning for a second season, series that just started this year... None of the ones I watch are franchises/spin-offs. The only series I can think of that are are the aforementioned CSI / NCIS / Law & Order, which I don't watch but which hardly make up the majority of US TV.

Me too. I watch far more US stuff that UK actually; and I entirely agree with you.

The only UK TV I watch is Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Merlin.
