Less than two days to go, and the target has been met (and exceeded).

I see the alpha has come out - looks good.

I can't play the alpha as my kickstarter thingy didn't cover that but i'm looking forward to the beta stage :)

If you're waiting for your Elite fix, how about:

truer to the original than the mess Frontier made of the sequels.

I never went for the Kickstarter, BECAUSE of the Frontier name attached to it... wouldn't trust them with an orbital shuttle, never mind a Cobra MK III

I have been playing the premium beta for a week now (and in 3d today) it's pretty good indeed.

If I'm feeling fluffy I will post some screen shots tomorrow.

Jeez just checked, £100 for the beta version. No game is worth half of that even when completed.

I already had the beta one which is £50 Natalie upgraded it to the premium one. Mind you if I had the spare cash I'd have got the alpha as well which was £200.

I think it's worth every penny.

I'm all for supporting people that need it, but there is a limit and £100-200 is way beyond the norm for a game. For that price I'd expect shares.

Each to their own and all that, I'm glad you feel it is worth it, but beta testers used to be paid, not to pay (that amount) for the privilege.

Elite was unique for its time which is why it did well, and it'll be novelty to play a rebooted version of it again, but not sure it'll have the same appeal today though (I hope I'm very wrong). But I do hope it does well.

I finally killed my first Cobra MK III.

Not sure what I can do when my canopy has failed and my air is being sucked out into space :)

The next beta (which means I won't be stuck in single player combat mode) comes out today..... I'm almost excited.

Looking forward to crashing into a few space stations :)
