When you call them again, select the "thinking of leaving us" option. You should get someone who can help. I've done this and had a good response.

I had to call about a phone problem, so asked again about this and was told categorically that this is impossible unless I pay for the higher tier, so I must wait until next Summer for the free upgrade.

Whilst I was on, I also asked for an upgrade to a HD TV box for free, but was only allowed one for £10 instead of the usual £20.

Our upgrade is set for "November", I've just been on the DoubleSpeed website and it says

Your area is ready

Congratulations! The new double speed boosts are already up and running in your area.

I've just rebooted my SuperHub and am still on 20meg, do I need to do anything or should it change automatically?

Graham they should force a reboot their end when it is ready. I would give it a couple of days before being concerned. Other users have complained in the past towards the end of the month only to find that they get upgraded on the 1st or 2nd of the new month.

Taf: they might have finally realised that upgrading everyone before the capacity is available isnt a particularly wise idea

Seems to make no difference, I was speaking to retentions and was told no early upgrade, as it happens my area was due to be upgraded in December this year and they actually delivered last week.

Must be nice living in your world where problems do not arise and everything gets delivered on time and within budget ;)

I don't honestly believe VM (or any other company for that matter) would provide a timeframe that is not deliverable or realistic. Hell even Apple delayed iTunes 11 a month ;)
