You have to ring up and opt out otherwise it will automatically cut off after you reach 50 euros/£38, many ring up after they reach their limit or forget to turn off data.

You have to ring up to go on the saver package.

You are not opted in to any addon automatically the opt out above is regards hitting the European limit and different companies call them something slightly different.

Like I said, some will bundle the two together, one as a prerequisite of the other.
