Just had my XL 60Mb Broadband installed. SpeedTest.net Results show the following for my wired connection:

Wireless (2.4GHz) results on my MacBook Pro 10.8.1 show around 46Mbps. Not bad so far. I'll see how it goes with the Super Hub before I make any decisions to purchase the Asus RT-N16.

On a side note a little worryingly, the installation engineer couldn't get my telephone line working due to connection issues at the green box with the telephone lines. I'm not too fussed as I've still got my BT line until the end of the month, but it has messed up my plans for the day as I have to wait longer for a 2nd line engineer to come out and resolve the problems which are not at my home, just to do the final testing. Think I might be calling up for some discount already if they don't get it fixed in the next few hours! :P

Just to provide an alternative view, I'd wholeheartedly suggest OpenWRT over DD-WRT. I was using DD-WRT for a while on my old Linksys WRT54GL, and then later when I moved to a D-link DIR-825, but always found odd stability issues with the D-Link. OpenWRT has fixed all those on the D-Link, and it is MUCH slimmer on the device as you only install and run the services you need. I get exceptional performance out of it, and I can easily saturate the link via this router (I'm on 100Mb), so I'd wholeheartedly recommend it. The GUI for OpenWRT is pretty good these days, so it's well worth a try.

I'd still say the GUI is a mile better in DD-WRT but yes, the underlying system in OpenWRT is far superior.

I/we tend to run DD-WRT on "dumb people" routers and OpenWRT for any serious work.
