I rather doubt that they would chuck a new device out like confetti unless they have a bottomless pit of money especially as the majority of Superhubs actually work as they should, plus it would be quite stupid to go clamouring for any new device until you were sure that it was any good especially any more Virgin Media branded devices, the thought of another piece of junk makes me cringe.

not really, they could just design it properly so it actually works like my Linksys router which has internal antennae

Do you honestly think that will happen, not in a million years.

It works fine for the Majority and that is a Fact no if's or but's and the same can be said for the other piece of junk the VMNG300 as in reality it is little better especially as we now have area's with 6 downstreams and it was outdated before release plus we had many more issue calls with that device than Superhub calls, I was an original 50Mb support agent so I was there from the start so you cannot teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

Mate.... chill out! Your arguing with a brick wall here, im in agreement with you in your next point

Both present devices are junk and that will never change the only difference being is that you have never had a proper decent bit of kit on your desk such as a mainstream modem as Seph and myself have advocated for a long time.

if you had read my post properly you would have understood

They must have a bottomless pit of money then, as the give them out at the drop of a hat, when I have had 2 area outages in the last 6 weeks, the agent on the phone has diagnosed it as a superhub fault and in both cases booked an engineer to install a replacement superhub

I go to many folks houses and they ask if I can take a spare back, they are handed out like 1p sweets

exactly. Although they are cheap the number they must constantly dish out my cost them in the long run. I would rather provide a decent piece of cpe which you know works and then you wont get people rining up moaning about wireless etc and have to replace them all the time. I have never had any probs with my 4 linksys routers yet as soon as I had 2 shubs rammed down my throat I was on the phone for 3 hours. What does what say?

I did understand but it is quite different when you have worked with bot devices and also seen the mainstream devices that were also tested it is unbelievable unless palms were greased in order to buy the junk we now have, I also heard from a reliable source that both the VMNG300 and the Superhub were more expensive than the other devices tested, so you can now see that palms must have been well greased in order to buy those devices.

If it was your decision it would be a known branded device by a reputable manufacturer and not a design from the frankenstein book of modems.

Because they realised a while back that someone made an almighty cockup a while back and they have no other response.

To be honest I'm fed up with customers throwing a wobbly when I tell them at the superhubs wifi is on full power and I can't improve it despite what India says. It gives me bad comments from the customers affecting my bonus. I suppose that's why techs tell fibs saying the superhub2 is coming out etc just to keep there scores up so the customer actually thinks something is being done.

Say yes, then give them to me. I'll pay 2p *and* a sweet for every drop off.

Good news if they are bringing out a new one. I'm not touching the superhub, sticking with my NTL 250 until they release something reliable.

Of course I'll wait till you've all kindly tested the new one for me and VM have fixed all the issues (yes, i could be waiting a while...). Maybe they should employ somebody to test these things first instead of relying on customers ?

You can say that again. I have tried to get VM to take it back but they dont seem to want it. This is brand new still in its box...
