yea , its a long story , spent over a year trying to get the upload to work properly for 100% of people & systems.

Its the faster upload connections that sometimes have a spike at the very beginning of the internal measurement method which gets averaged into the rest of the test. I shan't go into it all here.

you can either increase the clipping time to cut of the first few secs of the upload throughput.

o and if you have been using multi-threads in the upload configs then switch them back to 1 thread.

OR switch to using the adapter hook measurement method. (configurations / general tab / bottom right tick box "Use adapter hooks.....") (dont forget to choose your correct network adapter in the dropdown list right next to it).

Using your adapters data is extremely accurate but does have a drawback of measuring any other throughput at the time of testing so if you have a lot of LAN traffic using the same adapter this can be a problem.
EDIT:-
Although you can set the configs to check for any throughput before running a test and if it finds there is data flowing already it will quit that particular test.

Great software that was! funny it show mine as 108Mb down and 22Mb up ? (I wish I had 20 Meg up lol)

Should be 103Mb down and 9.7Mb up

i would suggest if you have fast upload speeds that you use the adapter hooks to measure the speeds (i describe how to in my last post above).

Good piece of software over all, I presume you built it yourself? Puts the superhub software to shame seeing as thats been worked on by a big team for over 18 months and still bug ridden :P

I agree superhub is horrible via wifi issues and still not fixed yet with R36 beta. Virgin Media is a joke for over 18 months without fixed. I stick with ethernet cable from superhub to pc for now.

yea indeed your correct , its been a hobby thats lasted the last 3 years in all, i have had help with the web site and some of the functions but mainly just little ol me. Started out as a very simple thing that i was asked to build and has just evolved and evolved.

The dam upload has been the most difficult part , dunno why, tried many different methods of coding it and a couple of languages to code it in but it still has some problems for some people. However there's a few things that can be tinkered with by the user and once they find what works for them it does a reasonable job of monitoring for service problems.
